Uganda, was once christened "the pearl of Africa" by Sir Winston Churchill many years ago.

This was after he marveled at the beauty of a nation endowed with magnificent features. Uganda has probably some of the best climate you will find anywhere in the world.

A nation that lies across the equator. Uganda has a very steady and favorable climate. With temperature's ranging between 30 and 28 degrees for highs and 23 and 13 degrees for lows with relatively low humidity levels, many best describe Uganda as having ideal climate.

The nation of Uganda was in the 60's the most sought after safari destination in Africa. After the 60's however, Uganda experienced a lot of setbacks brought about by bad governance. Through Idi Amin Uganda fell into oblivion, as if that was not enough the LRA (Lords Resistance Army) came up in the early 80's and troubled the northern part of Uganda making Uganda a nation not many wanted to visit.

Today, as i write this, Uganda is again begining to rebuild a good reputation in terms of her beauty and friendliness. As a matter of fact Ugandans have been referred to as the friendliest people in Africa.

Kampala - Uganda's capital is regarded one of the safest anywhere, matter of factly you would walk around any time of the day and night and be sure of safety.

Today, the number of tourists flocking Uganda is growing steadily. The LRA activity in northern Uganda is no more and the entire country is now regarded safe.

Some of Uganda's special tourist features are; the mountain gorillas, the habituated chimpanzees - Kibale forest in Uganda has the highest density of several species of primates anywhere.

The nile river flowing out of lake victoria just 80 kilometers east of the capital offers awesome white water rafting opportunities.

Uganda's main language is English. However there are 56 other languages and dialects in use. Uganda is not only diverse in landscape but also in terms of culture.
